Which, in my case, also means a newly updated website. It’s just what I seem to do on a yearly basis. The idea was to get the site fully mobile, with a fixed menu (except on this blog page…sigh) and hopefully all the links work. If they don’t, please let me know!
This last year has been…a trip and not an enjoyable one…fingers crossed this one provides smoother sailing. I do know that receiving the cover for my July 2018 release was a happy happy moment. It’s lovely, don’t you agree? For more info/except/pre-order links, just click on the cover. And if you are a reviewer who’d like to give it a go — drop me a line.
This is Elrik’s story – he’s the oldest Roul brother (yes, these seem to have “appeared” out of order, but I’ve learned not to argue with the muse too much). This Warrior Wolf has been called away from his home in Scotland to deal with another task (read that as ORDERED) gifted to him by King David. Little does he know what “gifts” are in store for him.
I’m not real great at social media, or staying in contact — obviously, but I’ve made that my only “goal” for the year — doing better at getting out there. So, I’m going to use my newsletter more than I have in the past. Since I’ve always wanted to do some short (um, shorter) stories, I thought I’d serialize the first one and put a section in what I hope will be a monthly(ish) newsletter. The first one should go out sometime this next week. Sticking with that whole write what you know theory, I’m starting with a medieval. If you’re already subscribed to the Denise Lynn Newsletter, look for it in your email soon, if you aren’t it’s easy enough to do — there’s a NEWSLETTER button at the top of every page of this website and one over there on the right-hand side of this blog page. I don’t share your info with anyone – EVER.
If you’re in my part of the world and still staring at snow, or shivering in the cold, Spring will be here soon!!!!! Or so I’m told. So, I’ll close by wishing you — HAPPY COMING SPRING…
Obviously, there’s just way too much going on in my real life to keep track of the date. Stepped outside with the puppy girl and noticed that hey, it’s in the 50s, the wind is howling and the daffies are popping through the leaf covering….oh, man, it’s March….
Which means I have a new book out and completely lost track of the date. My bad — My Real Bad. So, without further ado, I have a March release from Harlequin Historicals. ‘At The Warrior’s Mercy’ is the final installment of Warehaven’s Warriors (the youngest daughter Beatrice finally finds the man who can make her swoon with a kiss) and at the same time it’s also the first book of what I call Warrior Wolves (four brothers–Gregor, Elrik the eldest, Edan and Rory of Roul) who are indebted to King David of Scotland for their lives~~and oh does he make his Wolves pay big time). And yep, it’s a medieval set in the 12th century.
The art department did a pretty good job with Gregor. For a description, I sent them a link to Roman Reigns (click here) so, minus the facial hair they got pretty close. LOL — little things like that make me happy!
I normally don’t read reviews — why torture myself without reason — but I did want to see if anyone remembered the book was out and to my utter relief, yes they remembered and there’s 3 really nice reviews — one from Romantic Times and the two on amazon — thank you, readers, you actually made my day!!!
If you’d like to peruse an excerpt, it’s HERE. And as usual, I’ve put the purchase links on that page also.
And now, I supposed it would be real nice to write a note to my newsletter subscribers begging forgiveness. . . sigh.
It’s so easy to tell when I’m actually working. Not just because I’m sitting in front of the pc at all hours of the day and/or night, but because I’ve got half a dozen or more projects running at the same time. Odd, how working on a book gets every other hobby/interest in gear at the same time. For example, today I wrote a chapter plus some, searched the net for “hero” worthy pics — found one for Gregor: now need to find his older brother…it’ll be tough, but someone has to do it. Also revamped the website-again, made butter (yeah, I know…seriously?), along with pudding — and I don’t mean the stuff that comes out of a box and of course real whipped cream to go along with it, then it was on to getting a boat load of mending done (gasp), starting a new infinity scarf because I need one in every color imaginable, and since I had to trot downstairs to do laundry, why not lay out a couple blouse patterns….
Yeah, I am so obviously in work mode…it’s that or I’m coming down with something truly frightening.
Yep, a test. Just to see how this works since I’ve never used Word Press before. While I’m not impressed with customizing the theme, I do like the widgets. Need to see if I can find one to list books I’ve read lately since I’m on a major reading binge of late.
Ok, off to check the world of widgets…..
